Adobe throws in the towel and taps Google’s AI
Adobe, long the stronghold of creative pros, is now leaning on Google’s AI power. Their Firefly and Express apps now flex Gemini 2.5 Flash Image for image generation the sign of a company that’s no longer the predator, but the prey.
Seamless multi‑model creative domination
Adobe now offers a buffet of AI models from its own Firefly stack, to Google’s Imagen, Veo, Imagen 3, and beyond, letting creators mix, match, and dominate visuals with zero apologies. I’m talking no fucks given.
Workflow: One-stop shop or trap?
Picture this: you generate a visual in Firefly using Gemini 2.5, slide it into Express for animation and caption magic, then tweak it in Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere. Smooth workflow or strategic entrapment into Adobe’s ecosystem?
Privacy shield or illusion?
Adobe’s telling us they won’t train AI on what you create—that your creations are safe. But data privacy is a battlefield, and every promise can be broken when the dollar calls. Still, right now, it’s their line in the sand.
Google delivers the knockout blow—player turned challenger
Google isn’t waiting behind the curtain; it’s front and center with tools like Gemini’s image models and Veo’s video‑plus‑audio capabilities. Adobe now scrambles to integrate, not lead. The tables have turned.
Looks like Meta, OpenAI, Grok, and even the AI world’s been put on notice. Adobe didn’t adapt, they surrendered. Google’s running the ring now, slick, fast, full-spectrum AI. Adobe’s just patching holes with borrowed power. Remember: the tools shape the turf. You’re not just creating, you’re choosing chains or freedom.
Media 101 in the Age of Mis and Disinfo
Question and research everything.
If you’re in the U.S., then take a look at international sources. It won’t hurt unless you’re brain damaged or too brainwashed.
If you’re searching for some some semblance of the “truth” then stay woke.
If someone calls you “woke,” ask them for the non- co-opted definition of it.
Choose to be UNAPOLOGETICALLY you no matter how UNORTHODOX you are.
P.S. Going with the status quo doesn’t make you unorthodox.
An AI Prediction For 2025
Human – AI relationships are gonna trend hard this year. Be on the lookout for more posts on how to make AI girlfriends, AI companions, sexbots and AI for intimacy. I also predict that those apps will make a comeback to. Replika will have it’s time to shine and a shit ton of Replika wanna-bes will pop up. Folks will use OpenAI models to fulfill a need as well. Why? Because humans crave empathy no matter how “bad ass” they think they are. These bots, LLMs and apps “learn and affirm” their users.
